Rain will make it to the D.C. area tomorrow morning with the chance for some embedded thunderstorms as well.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy, Rain Late

Lows: 60s | Rain: 100%

Friday: Morning Rain, PM Clearing

Highs: Mid 70s | Wind: NW 10-15 m.p.h.

Saturday: Mostly Sunny, Not as Warm

Highs: Upper 60s | Wind: Light

I hope you are enjoying the summer-like temperatures and partly cloudy skies. And while it may feel like June or July, it is early April and we are subject to rapidly changing weather patterns. One such change will develop overnight as a strong cold approaches, then passes through the area. Showers and thunderstorms will be associated with the frontal passage. Gusty winds and heavy downpours are likely. Most of the rain should fall along the I 95 corridor between 3 am and 10 am Friday morning…the start and end times will be a bit earlier along the Blue Ridge and westward. Temperatures will fall into the 60s tonight and rebound into the 70s tomorrow.

We anticipate clearing skies and gusty breezes in our forecast for tomorrow afternoon. The weekend will be cooler but very pleasant…more April-like weather. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny. Both days will feature high temperatures in the middle to upper 60s. Saturday will be very breezy while Sunday should feature lighter winds. Another noticeable warm-up will begin on Monday.

Take a look at the tornado video coming out of Mississippi today! Incredible. Video of tornado in Noxubee County from Tony Sudduth. Taken in the area of Prairie Point and Deerbrook Rds.
