Moisture from the Atlantic keeps us socked in the clouds for one more day.

This Afternoon: Cloudy with a little Drizzle

Highs: Mid to Upper 60s | Wind: ENE 5-10

Tonight: Cloudy

Lows: Low to Mid 50s | Wind: E 5-10

Wednesday: Morning Clouds with some afternoon Sunshine

Highs: Upper 60s | Wind: NE 5-10

The gloom continues as onshore winds blow moisture from the Atlantic on top of us in the D.C. area. This brings in a low deck of clouds with the occasional drizzle and mist.

View from our roof camera

It's looked like this now for more than 24 hours with little beneficial rain.  We measured less than 1/4" at Reagan National yesterday.  High pressure is wedging in from the north and low pressure is just offshore to our south.

Surface Map

The high will eventually nudge further south and bring clearing skies.  Timing still a bit tricky, but it looks like we should get a little sunshine by Wednesday afternoon.  The sunshine should increase progressively then for the rest of the week.
