High pressure will move away from the mid-Atlantic overnight as temperatures fall into the upper 40s in the mountains to middle 50s in the District. A few showers may develop, but should not amount to much. Monday will be a cloudy day with highs in the uppers 60s. Isolated showers will stay in the forecast for a good part of the upcoming week as temperatures warm to near 80 by Wednesday.
Looking ahead, thunderstorms will develop late Thursday and into Friday as a strong cold front moves across the area. Next weekend will be sunny and cool with highs around 60 degrees.
