A warm day today and moore to come look at the highs today

The warm front was slow to move north of the region today, but once the sun came out temperatures quickly climbed.  Highs over spots like Petersburg, Winchester, and Culpeper reached the 90 degree mark.  D.C. made it into the middle 80s.

A weak weather front will drop south of the region overnight and through the day tomorrow and will keep temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.  Some clouds mixed with sun and still on the muggy side, but also a chance for some late day showers and thunderstorms.  Take a look at our hyperlocal futurecast tomorrow afternoon.

A nice end to the work week on Friday with highs near 80 degrees and then a few more clouds over the weekend with chances for showers and thunderstorms, but right now it doesn't look like it will be a washout by any means.  We'll keep you posted.
