Saturday:

Wind: SE 5-10 mph
Sunday:
Mostly cloudy and cooler with a 70% chance of rain; few thunderstorms too
Highs: Upper 60s
Wind: SE 5-10 mph

Sunny now, but clouds and rain chances increasing.

High pressure building off the New England Coast will establish an east/southeasterly air flow across our area over the weekend. At the same time, yesterday’s cold front has become stationary along the VA/NC border. That front will start moving northward as a warm front later Sunday. These features will be controlling the weather pattern across the region through the weekend. Our spectacular Friday weather will deteriorate tomorrow with increasing cloudiness during the day and a chance of a few showers. Winds off the ocean will knock high temperatures down by about 10 degrees, as well. On Sunday, skies will be cloudy, it will be seasonably cool and there will be the likelihood of more widespread rain at times and the chance for isolated thunderstorms.
