After going from the 60s to the 80s this past week - and then back again to the 60s this weekend - will the coming week swing warmer once again?

It' is something less than a stellar Sunday in the Nation's Capital with areas of fog, drizzle, mist, and light rain showing few signs of moving out.  With a stationary front to our south not budging much, we can expect conditions similar to yesterday's.  With easterly and southeasterly winds and increasing amounts of moisture, look for a cooler than normal day with highs near 70, cloudy skies, and periods of rain.

The slow retreat of the front to our north will permit warmer and more humid air to arrive by tomorrow.  After more showers tonight, Monday will turn mostly cloudy with highs near 80.  Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible.  Very warm and humid days are likely both Tuesday and Wednesday before a cold front over the Great Lakes will gradually turn our winds to the north.  Then, after a very warm and humid stretch, next Saturday is looking like it could be the first sunny, comfortably cool day we've had all week!  Enjoy your Sunday.
