Washington D.C. Forecast: Cool Wet May weather back

Keep your umbrella handy for the next few days. Scattered showers will continue to be a possibility tonight with more widespread rain expected Tuesday.

Overnight: Cloudy, Cool, Drizzle and Showers Late

Lows: 53-58 | Rain: 90% Chance by Morning

Tuesday: Cloudy, Showers, Breezy and Chilly

Highs: 62-67 | Rain: 90% Chance Winds E 10-20

Wednesday: Cloudy, More Showers, Possible Thunder, Warmer

Highs: 66-71 | Rain: 80% Chance

After the wonderful weekend weather, clouds, sprinkles and drizzle have returned.  This is because of a general whirlpool of cool moist air, which will slowly drift over us and then off later this week.  That "whirl" easily shows up into today's GOES image.


As this storm system tracks northeast, clouds and showers will be possible over the next several days.  Here's a look at our hyperlocal futurecast tomorrow morning.  Scattered showers could slow down your morning commute.


By Friday warmer drier air and more sunshine.  I know a disappointment for some, but still no sign of humidity.
