The heat and humidity continue to climb, all the way through the weekend

The heat and humidity sticking around at least through Saturday! Highs will top out in the lower to mid 90s for the next 3 days. We could see a slight chance of an afternoon pop up thunderstorm later on this afternoon. By Sunday, a cold front will approach the area triggering some afternoon thunderstorms and showers. The cold front is pegged to cross through the region on Monday, so even during the daytime on Monday we could have a chance of daytime showers and thunderstorms. Behind the front, temperatures drop into the lower 80s for the start of next week.
