Consider today a " preview of coming attractions" for summer. Skies will be partly sunny, temperatures will climb well into the 80s and a few heavy thunderstorms could pop this afternoon. A few more showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight. And then for tomorrow, including the " Komen Global Race for the Cure", skies will be mostly cloudy as a cold front advances through the region. There will also be occasional showers and thunderstorms. Early morning temperatures will be around 60 degrees and will climb into the middle 70s by afternoon.

On Sunday, Mother's Day, skies will be clearing. We are forecasting a partly cloudy and cooler day with highs in the upper 60s. Monday will be bright and sunny but very chilly. Monday's highs wll be unseaonably cool, only in the lower 60s. And it's possible there could be spots of frost Monday morning. Frost will become more likely in spots on Tuesday morning. That is certainly something we do not often see around here in the middle of May,
