A warm front has passed through our area. As the front continues to move northward, a large warm and increasingly humid air mass will build across the Mid-Atlantic States. High pressure is located over the Western Atlantic and that system will supply the steady southerly winds that will transport the warm and humid air into our area. Highs will be in the lower 80s today and into the middle to upper 80s tomorrow and Wednesday. Temperatures will likely reach the  lower to middle 80s on Thursday. Cooler air, with a cold front, on Friday.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible for the next few days. Morning fog could also be a daily feature in some areas until a cold front arrives at the end of the week. This upcoming weekend marks the unofficial beginning of the summer season. The Memorial Day Weekend has, historically, featured some pretty lousy weather around Washington and at the beaches. The early look at weather conditions for the weekend are encouraging. Our weekend outlook suggests partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 70s.
