Starting the transition day today to a much warmer airmass for tomorrow. Highs today, doing much better than yesterday and will eventually move into the mid to upper 60s this afternoon. As we head into tomorrow, a warm front will lift to the northeast of the D.C. region by early tomorrow morning putting our area in the warm sector—high pressure will also be offshore pumping a nice warm southerly flow into the region as well. Highs for your Wednesday top out in the upper 70s/lower 80s. We could see a few showers and thunderstorm kick up during the afternoon. A cold front will move through on Wednesday daytime and stall into central Virginia during the evening hours on Wednesday. This could trigger a few showers and thunderstorms for the day on Thursday. Thursday will feature more clouds but temperatures will remain in the lower 80s. It looks like we stick in the lower 80s at least through the weekend!
