Say "goodbye" to the soupy air of the past several days.

TODAY: Windy with Cooling Temps, Stray Light Rain (30% Chance), Limited Sunshine Highs: Low to Mid 60s Wind: NW 15-25+ mph OVERNIGHT: Unseasonably Cool & Breezy Lows: 40s Wind: NW 15-20 mph SATURDAY: Becoming Sunny, Windy & Cool Highs: Near 70º Wind: NW 20-30+ mph SUNDAY: Sunny & Breezy Highs: Near 70° MEMORIAL DAY: Mostly Sunny and Warming Highs: Mid 70s A strong cold is causing big changes to our holiday weekend weather. A cold front has been pushing through the D.C. area overnight, and the cooler air will gradually settle into place. Temperatures will drop a bit and then hold steady in the low to mid 60s throughout the day, and you'll notice the wind out of the northwest at 15-25 with higher gusts. Also, don't be surprised if you run into a few light and brief showers today. The wind will continue to howl through the weekend with temperatures topping out near 70° on Saturday and Sunday. I'm expecting clouds to start Saturday, but sunshine should be the rule for the majority of the three day weekend. Temperatures should climb into the mid 70s by Memorial Day with even warmer numbers for the remainder of next week.
