Gusty winds and below average temperatures to kick off the holiday weekend.

Friday:
Gusty and unseasonably cool with a few passing showers
Temperatures: 58°-66°
Wind: NW 15-25+ mph
Saturday and Sunday:
Mostly sunny, windy and seasonably cool
Highs: Near 70°
Wind: NW 15-25+ mph
Monday:
Mostly sunny and a bit milder
Highs: Mid 70s
Wind: NW 5-10 mph

It's going to be almost 10 degrees cooler at the Delmarva Beaches than it will be in the Washington area.

Forget temperatures in the 80s for a while...unless you are heading to Florida. This weekend historically marks the "unofficial" beginning of the summer season. But the weather pattern will not feel like summer.

Skies will remain rather cloudy today. Gusty northwest winds will keep temperatures in the lower to middle 60s and there could be a few passing showers. Skies will clear tonight and temperatures will fall into the lower 40s.

The holiday weekend will feature lots of sunshine, gusty winds and below average temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 60s to near 70 tomorrow, in the lower 70s on Sunday and finally to a more reasonable 75 degrees on Monday. The 80s will return next Wednesday.
