Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Cloudy, increasing rain chances

After a beautiful weekend, high pressure will move away from the area allowing for a period of unsettled weather.

Overnight: Increasing Cloudiness

Lows: 43°-50° | Wind: East 5-10 mph

Monday: Mostly Cloudy, Late PM Rain Likely

Highs: 60°-65° | Wind: East 10-15 mph

Tuesday: Periods of Rain

Highs: upper 60s | Wind: Northeast 10-15 mph

Clouds will increase overnight and temperatures will fall into the 40s. Light rain may develop across central Virginia, but chances are limited to about 30 percent. Monday brings more clouds and increasing rain chances by afternoon and evening. Highs will generally be in the 60s with some cooler areas where rain and clouds take hold earlier.

Gloomy weather will stick around Tuesday and into Wednesday before a weak area of high pressure builds into the mid-Atlantic. Highs by Friday will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
