We've waited all week for it, and now Friday brings sunshine and 80 degree temperatures.

This Afternoon: Partly Cloudy

Highs: Low 80s | Wind: S 10

Tonight: Showers and Thunderstorms

Lows: Low 60s | Rain: 50%

Saturday: Partly Sunny, Showers and Thunderstorms

Highs: Upper 70s | Rain: 70%

After a big break, 80 degrees returns today for the first time since mid April! Enjoy our brief warm up, as there are big changes ahead.  Today, winds from the south will usher in the nice warm weather, but an approaching cold front will trigger thunderstorms later.

This Afternoon

Most of the wet weather will hold off until this evening, but a few storms could produce damaging downburst winds and small hail late this afternoon, primarily in Western Maryland and West Virginia.  The cold front will linger a bit Saturday and keep a chance of storms in the forecast. i am optimistic that the morning will be dry for the Susan G. Komen race for the Cure, but soccer and baseball could get rained out in the afternoon.  It dries up just in time for Mother's Day.  A few clouds with cooler temps on Sunday with a high near 70s.  Much chillier Monday and Tuesday.
