If the temperature reaches 90 degrees today, it means we are officially in a " heat wave".

Mostly sunny, hot and humid
Highs: Low 90s
Wind: SW 5-10 mph
Warm and muggy
Lows: 64º-72º
Wind: SW 5-10 mph
Hazy sunshine, hot and humid
Highs: Low 90s

The heat and humidiity continues for the third consecutive day. And for the third consecutive day, isolated afternoon downpours will be possible. The combination of heat and humidity will make it feel a few degrees warmer than what the thermometer indicates. The air quality will deteriorate, as well. Brian van de Graaff examines air quality issues and today's Code Orange in his latest blog. latest blog here.

Tomorrow will be similar to today as temperatures will once again reach or top 90 degrees and an isolated thunderstorm will be possible. Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered across the area late Sunday and Sunday night. Temperatures could approach 90 degrees again on Sunday afternoon. By Monday, a cold front will be crossing the area with cooler temperatures and more widespread showers and thunderstorms.

Going to the Delmarva Beaches for the weekend? Good call! It will be mostly sunny today, tomorrow and Sunday with highs in the lower to middle 80s.
