We are in the midst of the first prolonged stretch of hot and steamy weather since last summer!

Hazy, Hot & Humid (20% Chance Stray Storm)
Highs: Low 90s
Wind: SW 5-10 mph
Mainly Clear, Muggy & Warm
Lows: 64º-72º
Wind: SW 5-10 mph
Sweltering Sunshine
Highs: Low 90s
Wind: SW 5-10 mph

Our heat wave kicked off with a high of 90 yesterday at Reagan National and the heat will continue into the weekend!  Friend me on FACEBOOK and follow me on TWITTER!

Expect hazy sunshine with hot and steamy conditions through the week and into the weekend. Daily afternoon readings will peak in the low 90s with mid 60s in the suburbs and low 70s downtown at night. A stray afternoon storm could pop over the higher elevations out west but will be more of an exception than a rule around the city! Our next weather maker is a cold front, which will approach late Sunday into the start of next week. It will bring our best real shot for some showers and a push of cooler air! Have a great day – don’t overdo it!

The last time Reagan National hit 90 degrees or higher 3 days in a row was actually a 10-day period from Jul. 31 - Aug. 9, 2012. So are we technically in a heat wave? Check out the Adam Caskey's latest blog with an “official” yet loose definition for the term HERE.
