Enjoy the refreshing air while it's here because it doesn't last long this time of year.

This Afternoon:
Sunny & Comfortable
Highs: 76=81
Wind: NW 5-10 mph
Clear and Cool
Lows: 50s
Wind: Light & Variable
Sunny & Continued Comfortable
Highs: Near 80
Wind: SE 5-10 mph
It's comfortable for now, but once the humidity moves back into town, we face the chance of potentially heavy rainfall. It's not often you can comfortably open the windows in June in Washington, but today and tomorrow will be the rare situation when you can. Enjoy the refreshing air/low humidity today and tomorrow accompanied by sunshine and highs in the upper 70s/near 80. The humidity will creep back into town for Thursday, but temperatures shouldn't change much. A few stray showers may develop (30% chance) Thursday evening, but the potential exists for heavy rainfall on Friday. We're keeping an eye on some tropical moisture over the Gulf of Mexico as this is already dumping heavy rain on south Florida and could do so here too. Guidance indicates a moderate chance of this moisture travelling up the East Coast toward the D.C. area by Friday. We should already have the conditions in place for some thunderstorms on Friday, but should this moisture arrive as well, it could potentially become heavy rainfall at times. It's something we'll watch and update accordingly.
