Washington D.C. Forecast: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Canceled

A few spotty showers across the area tonight, but nothing severe.

Storms End, Warm and Muggy

Thursday:
Partly Sunny, Scattered T-Storms
Highs: Low 90s
Precipitation: 60%

The severe thunderstorm watch is canceled, but a few showers continue to dot live doppler.  Warm and muggy conditions expected overnight with temperatures only dropping into the upper 60s to middle 70s. 

A few morning showers, especially west of the city, are possible, but more widespread thunderstorms are expected by tomorrow afternoon.  The Storm Prediction Center has the entire region under a Slight Risk for severe storms.  The primary threat are damaging winds, along with dangerous lightning.

Friday and Saturday will feature quieter weather with temperatures in the upper 80s and a stray storm in the forecast. Sunday will return the chance for more widespread afternoon storms.
