Severe weather possible this afternoon, but beautiful weekend ahead.

A complex of thunderstorms tracked from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic last night through this morning.  Isolated reports of hail and tree damage in northern Maryland.    A second round of showers and thunderstorms, some that may be severe with damaging wind is expected this afternoon. Some light showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible late this morning and early afternoon. I think the best chance of strong storms will develop between 2p and 6p. Here is a timeline of the storms.

Be on alert for flash flooding also.

Flash Flood Watch

A flash flood watch remains in effect for the entire area.  It will all be over late this evening with breezy conditions and gradually clearning skies.  Friday will be cooler with highs in the upper 70s. There will be a mix of sunshine and clouds with an isolated shower possible. The weekend looks great!  A few showers or thunderstorms late on Father's Day.
