Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Showers and storms first half of week

A weak cold front will approach the mid-Atlantic Monday bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Overnight:
Showers and Isolated T-Storms
Lows: 65°-72°
Wind: West 5-10 mph
Monday:
Partly Cloudy, PM T-Storms (30%)
Highs: 84°-89°
Wind: West 5-10 mph
Tuesday:
Showers and T-Storms (50%)
Highs: lower 80s
Wind: West 10-15 mph

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will dot radar overnight, especially across southern Virginia. Overnight temperatures will fall into the middle 60s to lower 70s.

Highs Monday will be in the 80s with about a 30-percent chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. An area of low pressure will bring an added risk for unsettled conditions Tuesday before high pressure builds back into the area. The remainder of the week will be warm and sunny.
