Summer has arrived along with added humidity and a chance for pop-up thunderstorms. Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the middle 60s in the suburbs to around 70 in the District. With increased cloud cover Sunday, a few showers and thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon hours. Highs will reach the middle 80s.

The hottest weather will arrive Monday and remain until at least late Wednesday. Highs will skyrocket as afternoon temperatures flirt with the middle 90s in many locations.
