Welcome to summer! Lots of sunshine in our Friday forecast with comfortable humidity levels and temperatures just about average for June 21st. Over the weekend though, high pressure off the east coast will start drawing in increasingly warmer and more humid air. It will very quickly evolve into a very typical summer weather pattern: partly sunny, hot and humid days and hazy, mild and muggy nights. And that is our forecast in a nutshell from Saturday through next Thursday. There could be some isolated afternoon thunderstorm activity stirred up next week but the keyword is isolated.

The beaches look fine this weekend too with highs in the 70s under partly sunny sies. I should point out there is a chance that across the entire mid-Atlantic area that Sunday could turn out to be a mostly cloudy day. If that happens, temperatures will likely be held in the 80s.
