D.C. weather forecast: Showers and thunderstorms likely for start of week

After another hot and humid day, temperatures will fall into the 70s overnight. Showers and thunderstorms are likely.

Overnight:
Mostly Cloudy, Isolated T-Storms
Lows: 70°-76°
Wind: West 3-5 mph
Monday:
Partly Cloudy, PM T-Storms (60%)
Highs: 85°-90°
Wind: Southeast 5-10 mph
Tuesday:
Showers and T-Storms (60%)
Highs: near 90°
Wind: Southwest 3-8 mph

A cold front across Pennsylvania will retreat northward overnight and into Monday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will dot radar as temperatures fall to the 70s.

Partly cloudy skies will keep temperatures down slightly Monday as highs approach the middle 80s to near 90 degrees. Thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon hours and may produce brief heavy  downpours. Unsettled weather continues into Tuesday.
