The heat warnings and advisories have been canceled, but it still remains very hot and sticky.

Tonight:
Mostly clear and muggy.
Temperatures: Around 80 degrees in urban areas, 70s elsewhere
Wind: SW 5-10 mph
Saturday:
Partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Highs: Mid 90s
Wind: SSW 5-15 mph
Sunday:
Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of t-storms.
Highs: Upper 80s
Wind: N 5-10 mph

Today is day 5 of our latest heat wave.  One more day before relief arrives on Sunday.  More widespread showers and storms are expected tomorrow afternoon due to a cold front that is advancing near us. A few storms could cause strong wind gusts.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll get a clean sweep of the front and it will stall near us… enough to keep the chance of t-storms in the forecast into next week. At least temps will drop down to seasonal conditions by Sunday and most of next week.
