The heat indices continue to measure at 100+ - Are we breaking this weather pattern anytime soon?

This Afternoon:
Hot and Humid
Temperatures: 90s
Heat Index: 100+
Wind: Light
Heat Index: 100+

Broken record weather continues. High pressure still over the area and that means that we continue to see hot and humid conditions across the region. This again, will be the case as we finish out this work week. Only a few showers and storms popping up, slight chance at best and the chance will lie mainly west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. By Saturday, a cold front will slip through the area bringing a better chance of rain in the afternoon and the evening hours. That chance will continue through Sunday as the front stalls to the south. Dewpoints slip off a little bit and temperatures drop into the 80s for the beginning of next week.
