Wind: SW 5-10 mph

Here we go again! More of the same as we continue the swath of heat and humidity moving in from the south to the north. This will continue into the weekend and even into next week. Highs today will move into the lower 90s, however, with the humidity-it will feel like mid to upper 90s! A very slight chance of isolated showers and storms, again this chance remains west of the D.C. metro area and continues along the I-81 corridor in the Shenandoah Valley. Other than that it is just going to be a partly sunny, sultry day! Saturday features more of the same: Hazy, hot and humid with a slight chance of storms west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sunday a few changes come in to play. Highs will top out in the upper 80s/lower 90s with a better chance of more scattered showers and storms in the afternoon for all locations. Clouds will increase through the day on Sunday and the chance of widespread storms and cloudy conditions continue into Monday. Monday we will have to monitor some of these storms for severe potential. However, enjoy this weekend and be sure to stay safe!! UV index is very high so protect your skin as well!
