Washington D.C. Forecast: High heat and humidity this week

A Heat Advisory is in effect for D.C., Alexandria, Arlington and the Baltimore City and County from Noon to 7pm Tuesday.

Kicking off a heat wave today with the hottest week in D.C. all summer upon us. High pressure will dominate our weather all week with little to no chance of rain. Humidity will be high with dewpoints in the 70s, making it feel like triple digits at times in the afternoon this week. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Tuesday for D.C., Arlington, and Alexandria from noon until 7p.m. An isolated shower or two will be possible from the blueridge, westward.

Heat will be the main feature in the weather pattern through the rest of the week with highs in the mid to upper 90s through Friday. The next chance for a few storms will be Saturday and higher chances on Sunday with cooler temperatures by the end of the weekend.
