Showers and storms will be possible this afternoon and evening. Drier weather will filter in by the end of the week.

This Afternoon:
Partly Sunny, T-Storms Possible
Highs: Upper 80s
Precipitation: 40%
Tonight:
T-Storms Possible
Lows: 70s
Precipitation: 50%
Thursday:
Partly Sunny, Scattered T-Storms
Highs: Mid to Upper 80s
Precipitation: 60%

Showers and storms will continue to threaten the area through the rest of the day. Clouds will stick around, holding temperatures off in the mid to upper 80s in some spots. Definitely on the muggy side out there! Considering the feed of moisture we have, any thunderstorms that pop up around the region in the afternoon hours could bring some locally heavy downpours.

Clouds will hang around tomorrow as a cold front approaches the area. That will trigger some storms for the afternoon hours, some which could be pretty strong. Once the frontal system passes through the area (it will stall well south of D.C.) a slightly more pleasant air mass will be upon us for the Friday and Saturday. Both days will feature sunshine. Returning a slight chances of showers and storms for Sunday.
