A cold front will cross our area today. There is a slight chance for an isolated shower or thundershower. Temperatures will be cooler than recent days and winds will become northwesterly...a drier direction for our area. Even cooler air will settle over the region tonight with temperatures falling into the upper 50s to middle 60s. By tomorrow morning, the cold front will be south and east of Washington and there could be isolated showers in the vicinity of the front. Otherwise, we are forecasting a partly cloudy and comfortable day with highs in the lower to middle 80s. The gorgeous weather is expected to continue through Friday.
Over the weekend, warmer and more humid air will return to the area. Skies with be partly cloudy and highs will return to the middle to upper 80s. Those levels are average for late July. Isolated thunderstorms are possible late Saturday but will become more likely during the day on Sunday.
