Low pressure will move through the area tonight and high pressure will move in for the end of the work week.

An area of low pressure is approaching our area from the northwest. It has been responsible for the cloud cover and showers we have seen so far today. As it moves through tonight, the showers will end.. A cold front will move across the region overnight following the transit of the low pressure system. P acthy fog is possible early tomorrow morning.Then high pressure will deliver clearing skies and comfortably warm conditions later tomorrow and Friday.

Labor Day Weekend Sneak Peek

Over the weekend , high pressure will build off the Carolinas. It will become a “Bermuda High”. This will draw increasing warm and humid air into our area. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s on Sunday to around 90 degrees on Monday. On Monday, however, another cold front will approach the area producing showers and thunderstorms.
