Our week-long stretch of autumnal bliss is showing few signs that it will end anytime soon!  After the rain of last Saturday evening, we've had an unbroken succession of sunny days with highs in the 70s and nighttime lows in the 50s.  And while a weak cold front looms to the west and a storm hovers off the Atlantic coast, neither poses much of a threat to our charmed weather lives.  High pressure will again dominate today as clouds intermingle with sunshine. Look for high temperatures in the low to mid 70s and light winds out of the northeast.

Tomorrow will feature partly cloudy skies and slightly milder temperatures with readings in the mid 70s.  Thereafter, more southerly winds will herald warmer days with daytime highs in the lower 80s likely for the first few days of October.  Models show that a low pressure center could finally bring some substantial rain by next Saturday and with it much cooler temperatures.  Enjoy the continuation of our mild weather, a much-appreciated monotonous pattern!

NOTE: Rainfall for the month is well below normal - by over 2 inches - and thus has produced one of the few overall rainfall deficit situations in this otherwise wet year.
