Rain on the way to the region for the last day of summer!

This Afternoon:
Temperatures: Near 80
Wind: S 5- 10 mph
Increasing clouds
Lows: Lower to Mid 60s
Wind: S 5-10 mph
Heavy Rain Possible
Highs: Near 80
Precipitation: 70%

High pressure keeping this beautiful weather around! That high will begin to move offshore and begin pumping in some warm and humid air. This will allow room for a cold front to make its trek through the area on Saturday and moving offshore late Saturday night. This will bring chances of rain showers/storms through the region starting in the morning hours west of the Blue Ridge and spreading east through the afternoon hours. We will have to watch the flooding threat because some of these storms could produce some heavy rainfall. The threat will end through the evening hours and completely out of the eastern areas after midnight. Behind the front on Sunday, breezy conditions follow. Highs on Sunday with clearing skies will only rise into the lower to mid 70s. High pressure builds back in for the rest of the work week with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
