A massive area of high pressure continues to produce magnificent September weather across our area and most of the mid-Atlantic, Northeast, the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. I told you it was massive. This will keep the beautiful weather locked in place until an upper level disturbance scoots by to the south of the region late Wednesday and early Thursday. The only effects from that little system may be some periods of cloudiness but no rain.

Another high pressure center will take control of the pattern from later Thursday into Sunday. Enjoy these consecutive days of sunshine while they last. It’s just a matter of time before a coastal storm or continental pattern change will makes these days just a pleasant memory.
