SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH in effect for the area until 10 pm tonight…….

A strong cold front will continue moving through the region through the evening hours. Showers and thunderstorms have been developing ahead of the front this afternoon and will continue to develop until the cold front moves across the Bay and Eastern Shore later tonight. Some storms have been severe, so the entire area remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 pm.

Canadian High Pressure will start building across the region tomorrow, delivering cooler and drier conditions area-wide. In fact, it will be unseasonably cool on Saturday but with full sunshine it will be absolutely beautiful. Sunny and pleasant weather will continue through most of next week. A weak cold front will cross the area Monday night but it will only re-enforce the pleasant air mass across the mid-Atlantic.
