Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Cold front to bring cooler, less humid air

Lower humidity and cooler temperatures will make going back to school and work a bit easier.

Wind: Southwest 3-8 mph
Tuesday:
Partly Cloudy, Less Humid
Highs: 80°-85°
Wind: Northwest 10-15 mph
Wednesday:
Mostly Sunny and Beautiful
Highs: near 85°
Wind: Northwest 5-10 mph

Showers and thunderstorms are likely overnight, especially west of the D.C. area . Temperatures will settle to the upper 60s and lower 70s as a cold front passes across the mid-Atlantic. Any lingering showers early Tuesday should quickly end. Daytime highs will be in the lower to middle 80s along with more comfortable humidity levels.

High pressure will build into the region allowing for pleasant conditions and abundant sunshine for the rest of the week.
