A cold front will move across the mid-Atlantic later today bringing showers and a few thunderstorms. Some storms will be capable of bringing periods of heavy localized rain, but severe storms are unlikely. Highs will range from the middle 70s to near 80 degrees ahead of the front.

This system will clear the coast overnight and skies will begin to clear. Areas of fog may develop as temperatures settle into the upper 50s outside the Beltway to lower 60s in the District.

Clearing skies will bring more sun, lower humidity levels and cooler temperatures tomorrow. An area of high pressure will influence our weather for the upcoming week.
