A few sprinkles or showers this morning as cooler air arrives.

Becoming partly cloudy, breezy and less humid.
Temperatures: Mid to Upper 70s
Wind: NW 10-15+ mph
Sunny and unseasonably cool but spectacular!
Temperatures: Near 70º
Wind: NW 5-10 mph
Continued mostly sunny and pleasant
Temperatures: Mid to Upper 70s
Wind: Light Westerly

Now this is more like it.

High pressure will build into our area today and all weekend long. The result will be a string a beautiful days that be cooler than average but after the recent heat, it will be just fine.

Skies will brighten Friday and winds will become breezy, literally delivering drier air to the region. We will start the day in 40s and 50s Saturday and with clear skies, only climb to 70 degrees in the afternoon.

A high of 70 degrees is the average high in Washington on October 12. So it will be a genuine preview of autumn weather. Conditions will be ideal for the Plane Pull at Washington Dulles International Airport. Stop by and see our own Brian van de Graaff.

The incredible weather continues on Sunday with highs in the middle 70s. The pattern will continue through most of next week.
