Blog: What is a Freeze Warning?

An upper level low pressure system was responsible for the areas of cloud cover, gusty winds and the chilly temperatures we experienced today. A very similar day is expected tomorrow. BUT tonight…with diminishing winds and clear skies it’s going to be COLD. Freeze Warnings are posted west of the Chesapeake Bay. Some areas, north and west of D.C. may see temperatures in the upper 20s early tomorrow morning, lower to middle 30s are expected elsewhere. Looking ahead to the weekend, we are forecasting partly to mostly sunny skies with a very slow warm up on Saturday and Sunday. Highs will reach upper 50s to around 60 degrees. Sunshine and slightly milder temperatures are in our forecast for Monday.
