Rain rain GO AWAY! Rain showers will continue to plague the region through the weekend as an area of low pressure sits just to the south, right off the North Carolina coast. It will gradually creep its way to the VA coast but an area of high pressure over New England will block it from moving too much. That means rain will continue for us until this pattern can finally break on Sunday. Light rain and drizzle, patchy at times will stick around through the weekend. Temperatures will gradually move into the mid-60s by Sunday.

By early next week, the low FINALLY exits the region, which will allow for some sunshine and more seasonable highs in the lower 70s.
