Partly Sunny, Stray Shower Possible
Highs: Upper 60s

A pretty start to your Tuesday with plenty of sunshine, but a few clouds will develop this afternoon. Winds are from the northeast today, so our high temperatures will be slightly cooler than yesterday in the upper 50s to lower 60s across the region. Big changes ahead. A warm front approaches Wednesday and could squeeze out a stray shower, especially in the morning. But, overall, we expect partly sunny skies. You'll really feel the difference on Thursday with highs in the low 70s, and it will be a bit breezy. At this moment, I think the rain will hold off for Trick-orTreating Halloween evening, but there may be a few showers late. Best chance of showers will be overnight Thursday and into Friday morning. The cold front should pass mid-late afternoon on Friday. That will clear us out for the weekend, but temperatures will drop back down, too. Today is the one year anniversary of Sandy making landfall on the New Jersey coast. The storm set many records, including: largest storm, 2nd costliest storm, and lowest recorded pressure north of Cape Hatteras, NC. It's impact was far reaching for D.C., Northern Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. A nice, detailed blog by ABC 7's Chad Merrill can be found here.
