Get through today and the weekend is looking pretty great.  A cold front to our west along with high humidity and southerly winds will increase our chances of showers progressively through the day.  Best chance for showers will be late this afternoon and evening in D.C. otherwise skies will remain mostly cloudy with a hint of sun here and there.  This is not a lingering storm like last week, and the cold front will pass tonight with clearing skies before morning.  It will be a bit breezy Friday with Northwesterly winds around 10-15mph.  Good weekend weather for leaf peeping, especially on Sunday. Check out a blog on places for good color here. There is also info on how to submit your fall photos for our contest on Good Morning Washington. You could see your picture on TV and win a prize! Temperatures in the mild category today in the lower 70s, but will be cooler the rest of the next 7 days.  And, after that, perhaps a huge cool down. Just for fun.... Check out what the GFS model is trying to bring to the mountains late next week!!
