After 6 consecutive days of temperatures well below average, we end November and meteorological fall with yet another!  With sun filtering thorugh partly cloudy skies and light winds, highs today should again struggle into the lower 40s.  The average high of 52 has been elusive all week and the month is ending almost 3 degrees colder than normal.  And while today should be a dry day, the over 2 inches of rain this past week evened out the monthly deficit and gives the rain gauge at Reagan National 2.8 inches in the plus column for the year.

High pressure over New England will influence our weather today and much of tomorrow before it drifts off to the east.  Cold air will continue to funnel into the DC area for the weekend making this Thanksgiving holiday feel more like a typical Christmas.  Look for a somewhat milder day on Sunday with highs in the upper 40s.  But the partly cloudy skies tomorrow will yield to mostly cloudy days on Monday and Tuesday as a coastal low passes the Atlantic seaboard.  It should be a rain-free period and an increasingly warmer time: highs by Wednesday should be near 50.  The chance of showers increases at  week's end with high temperatures by Friday aiming for the mid 50s!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
