After early morning clouds, we're back to sunny skies, but boy is it chilly. Temperatures are a good 20 degrees cooler than they were at this time yesterday! Factor in the brisk northwest winds and it feels even colder. The winds will finally subside later tonight and low temperatures will tumble in the 20s and 30s. With clear skies tonight, you may be able to catch a glimpse of a rocket launch from Wallops Island, VA. The window for launch is between 7:30pm - 9:30pm EST.
A broad area of high pressure will keep us dry through the rest of the work week, but as the high shifts eastward, winds will turn out of the east and will bring more clouds for Wednesday. Another strong cold front will approach from the west by week's end and will provide shower chances overnight Friday and through the day Saturday. It certainly doesn't appear to be a washout, but something to keep on the radar (no pun intended!). A blast of colder temperatures and blustery winds will return for Sunday.
