Washington D.C. Forecast: Staying Gloomy and Cold the Next Few Days

The chilly rain will continue in through the today and tomorrow. Expect some snow tomorrow as well!

This Afternoon:

Temperatures: 30s - Moving Up
Precipitation: 100%

Lows: Upper 30s
Rain: 100% HEAVY!

Highs: Low 40s
Wind: Increasing: NW 15-25 mph

An area of low pressure will strengthen over the Gulf today and continue to track northeast. This will join with an area of low pressure over the Great Lakes by Wednesday and both will continue to move up and off the coast.  Pockets of frozen precip will persist through the morning hours however, by the early afternoon hours, most everybody should be above the freezing mark resulting in an all cold rain event for the region. Heavy rain possible during the overnight hours. 2” – 4” of rain expected in some locations!

By tomorrow morning some pockets of frozen precip will still be around (mainly west) but by the noon hour, a change to snow will occur from the west to the east. Minor accumulations of snow expected (less than 1”).

Winds will begin to pick up through the day tomorrow leading to wind chills in the 20s. Everything should be out of the region by 10 PM on Wednesday night. Thanksgiving looks COLD and WINDY BUT with sunshine! Black Friday temperatures will only be in the upper 30s for daytime highs! Light winds but chilly at 6AM- Temp around 25 degrees!
