Washington D.C. Forecast: Wet and Windy Today, Breezy and Sunny Tomorrow

Windy and wet through the afternoon but sunshine (and breezy conditions) return tomorrow!

This Afternoon:

Temperatures: Dropping through 30s
Wind: NW 15-25 mph, Gusts up to 40 mph
Clear and Cold
Lows: Mid 20s
Wind: NW 15-25 mph
Sunshine and Breezy
Highs: Mid 30s (feeling like upper teens/Low 20s)
Wind: NW 15-25 mph, decreasing

Rain, sleet and some snow will continue throughout the afternoon hours mainly changing over to snow in the viewing area. Winds will pick up throughout the afternoon, gusting to around 40 mph in spots!

All precipitation will be out of the region and off the shore of Southern Maryland by 8 p.m.  to 10 p.m. and a little earlier west of the D.C. area.



Rapid clearing will come Wednesday night, and there could be a few slick spots on the roads after sunset and through the overnight hours. Thanksgiving looks blustery with wind chills in the upper teens/lower 20s.


Sunshine will persist Thursday and Friday and a few clouds will move into the region for the weekend.

Black Friday will feature cold temperatures but with light winds so enjoy the early shopping, if you dare to deal with mid 20s by 6 a.m. Temperatures will gradually go up through the 40s for the weekend.
