Clouds will increase slightly overnight as temperatures drop to the middle 30s and lower 40s. Sunday will be partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the 50s, but gusts will make it feel quite a bit cooler. Highs will be similar on Veterans Day with clouds increasing during the afternoon hours as a cold front approaches from the west.
An arctic cold front will push across the mid-Atlantic late Monday night and into Tuesday morning. Give or take a few hours depending on the forecast model, the highest likelihood is for just a cold rain with the potential for a few flakes mixed in. The forecast will be refined over the coming days, but extra time may be needed during the Tuesday morning rush-hour commute simply because of wet pavement, not accumulating snow.
In addition, you might have heard about a coastal low developing Wednesday and into Thursday. At this point, if the storm develops, it will likely have little or no impact on the D.C. area.
