An area of high pressure will bring abundant sunshine to the mid-Atlantic today along with temperatures in the 50s. High pressure will move away from the region as a cold front approaches from the west. Clouds will increase slightly overnight as temperatures drop to the middle 30s and lower 40s. Sunday will be partly cloudy and breezy. Highs will be in the upper 50s to around 60, but the wind will make it feel just a bit cooler.

By now you have probably heard some talk about the potential for wintry weather next week. At this point, we know very cold air will be overhead, but the actual area of low pressure (if it even forms) is tracking south of us. That means chances for precipitation across the D.C. area will be limited. We will keep a watchful eye on this over the coming days.
