Washington, D.C. weather forecast: Mild Sunday, strong cold front on the way

Areas of fog will give way to a mild Sunday, but big changes are coming. A cold front will drop temperatures by Tuesday.

Overnight:

Sunday:

Highs: 62°-67°
Wind: South 5-10 mph
Monday:
AM Storms Likely, Clearing
Highs: 60s
Wind: Northwest 15-20 mph

Cloudy skies will stick around overnight along with areas of fog and drizzle. Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to middle 50s. Clouds are back Sunday along with milder temperatures and scattered showers. Afternoon highs should rebound well into the 60s as a cold front approaches from the west.

Winds will increase Sunday evening ahead of the front. Storms are likely to form with the strongest activity just to the west of D.C. Showers and a few storms will linger into early Monday with clearing skies by afternoon. Highs by Tuesday will only be in the 40s.
