The chill continues as the center of high pressure is now controllling weather conditions throughout New England, the mid-Atlantic and beyond. Plenty of sunshine today but very chilly with highs remaining well below average. It will moderate tomorrow into the lower 50s and into the upper 50s on Friday. During the day Friday, cloudiness will increase ahead of the next cold front. Isolated showers are possible late Friday. But on Saturday showers will be likely as a strong cold front crosses the area. It appears the showers will end early Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, as high pressure surges back into the region, it will be windy and very cold with high temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s and wind chill temperatures will be somewhat lower..
